Lions support Aram Public Library Renovations, Expansion
The Delavan Lions Club is proud to provide a sizable donation of seed money for the Aram Public Library Building Expansion and Improvement Project.
The club donated a $1,000 check the the Aram Public Library Foundation, which is leading the effort to renovate and improve the inside of the library, while also expanding the building’s footprint.
Aram Library Director Anita O’Brien said the hope is to have the project complete by 2021 or 2022.
In addition to overall updating and remodeling, preliminary plans call for improved and expanded meeting spaces, a new space for teens and improvements to the children’s area of the library. Continue reading

Lions support middle school pillow case project
Phoenix Middle School seventh graders in Ms. Terri Brown’s Family and Consumer Sciences classes sewed 310 standard-size pillow cases for sick children in Wisconsin hospitals. The cases were donated to “Ryan’s Cases For Smiles,” a non-profit dedicated to helping make long-term hospital stays for children as best they can be. Continue reading

The breakfast buffet event is scheduled for 8 a.m. until noon, Saturday, April 15, 2017, at the Delavan United Methodist Church, 213 S. Second St., Delavan.
