The Delavan Lions Club has wrapped up a very different fall 2020 fundraising season. With the cancellation of the 2020 Walworth County Fair, the club lost the source of approximately 70% of its revenue. But the club members are a committed group, and they did not want to disappoint the organizations that depend upon the Lions Club contributions every year. High school scholarships, food pantry donations, local fire departments, Lakeland Animal Shelter, and Twin Oaks are some of the beneficiaries of the Delavan Lions Club fundraising. So the club members got busy and organized multiple fundraisers in partnership with some wonderful support from local businesses. Riga-Tony’s Delicatezzi Italiano, The Whiskey Ranch, Duesterbeck’s Brewing Company, Fiddlestick’s Cafe, Hernandez Mexican Restaurant, Stinebrink’s Piggly Wiggly, Advanced Auto Clinic, Sorg’s Meats, and Geneva Lakes Produce worked with the club to ensure success. Thanks to their generosity and support as well as the public support and purchase of our corn and brats, the Delavan Lions Club will be able to meet the annual budgeted needs and will be able to support the local organizations for the coming year.
